The hydroelectric project will have capacity to generate 105 megawatts of electricity per day. The project was started in 1986, but stopped with the change of government that year. The Spanish firm Internacional de Ingenier&iacute;a y Estudios T&eacute;cnicos S.A. (Intecsa-Inarsa) and the firm Jorge Mustonen (represented by engineer Marcelo Jorge) will be the contractors, as they won the bid in 1986.
