Falconbridge Dominicana, the nation’s principal mining company, expects to produce 66 million pounds of nickel next year. Exports should reach US$40 million, at a US$3.25\/lb. price. Enrique Lithgow, general manager of the company, said that this year they exported 55 million pounds of ferronickel.
