The List?n Diario reports that less than 48 hours after a
\ngroup of men attacked and killed a police sergeant, the chauffeur of a general,
\nthe four alleged assailants were located in the Barrio Lindo section of La
\nHerradura, just to south of Santiago de los Caballeros. According to neighbors,
\nthe four young men had only been living in the modest house where they were
\nfound for four days. The police surrounded the house and two of the men died in
\nthe shooting that followed and one police lieutenant was wounded. One man is now
\nin custody and police are looking for a fourth individual. The weapons
\npurportedly used in the attack, which belonged to the deceased Sergeant Rolando
\nFeliciano Castro, were recovered in the house in Barrio Lindo, according to
\npolice sources. The assistant district attorney who accompanied the police in
\nthe search would not answer any questions beyond the fact that the dead had been
\nlinked to the attack that left the sergeant dead and the general injured. The
\ngang of four confiscated the sergeant?s submachine gun and pistol, killed him,
