Miss Selinee Mendez, who won the Miss Top Model of the World pageant in 1996 in Germany, is representing the Dominican Republic in the Miss Universe Pageant, the most prestigious beauty contest held annually. The pageant will be able to be seen in the DR on Channel 5, Telemicro at 10 pm. The women representatives of 81 countries will vie for the title at the finals held at the University of Hawaii’s Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu. Miss Selinee Mendez is a 5’8 inches, brown-eyed and brown-haired beauty born in San Juan de la Maguana some 23 years ago.
