Coffee production, at 1,255,000 quintals, is always above forecasts.  The president of the Asociaci&oacute;n de Cosecheros de Productos Tradicionales de Exportaci&oacute;n, Jos&eacute; Antonio Mart&iacute;nez Rojas said the DR is today second largest producer of cacao in Latin America. So far some 57,000 tons have been exported which will produce revenues of US$86-91 million. The harvest ends 30 September 1998. The country had never produced more than 60,000 tons of cacao.
