The festival opens Wednesday, 1<br \/>\nOctober at Hotel Sos?a Bay (Sos?a) with the participation of Puerto Plata Jazz<br \/>\nEnsemble and Jose Furito Rios and Group from Puerto Rico. It continues on the<br \/>\nnext day moving on to Cabarete, with the performance of Gary Davis Band (USA),<br \/>\nPatricia Pereyra and Maniel Group from the Dominican Republic. Both the Sos?a<br \/>\nand Cabarete performances are free.<br \/>\nOn Friday, 3 October, Nestor Torres (USA) and Chichi Peralta (Dominican<br \/>\nRepublic) take to the stage at the Playa Dorada hotel complex. Tickets: US$20.<br \/>\nAnd next day, they are back in Sos?a, for a Saturday, 4 October performance with<br \/>\nMezcla (Cuba) and Chucho Valdes (Cuba) at the Hotel Casa Marina Amhsa<br \/>\namphitheater, US$20.<br \/>\nFor the first time, the festival goes south to the Gran Teatro del Cibao, where<br \/>\na Sunday 5 October performance will take place. Performing is Sistema Temperado<br \/>\nof the Dominican Republic, Arturo Sandoval (USA) and Humberto Ram?rez and John<br \/>\nBenitez of Puerto Rico.
