The cultural celebration will take place from 14-21 October in Santo Domingo. 79 former European colonies in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific have been invited. As of this week, 40 had confirmed their attendance. A cultural festival is being produced by Jose Antonio Rodriguez and some 250 artists will be performing. These include: Mayra Andrade (Cape Verde), Omar Pene (Senegal), Manou Gallo (Ivory Coast), Menwar (Mauritius), Culture Music Club (Tanzania and Kenya), Malouma (Mauritius), Bare Essentials Band (Jamaica), Simon Nwanbeben (Cameroon), Bongo Love (Zambabwe), Langi (Congo), Andy Palacio (Belize), Garifuna Revival Band (Trinidad), Nffithe (Mozambique), Kekele (Congo), among others.
