The agreement was signed by Luis P. Rodriguez, sub-General Director of the Office of Civil Aeronautics (DGCA) and Ricardo Alberto Crielly, sub-director of Argentinean Transport. Rodriguez said that the agreement would allow for Dominican and Argentinean registered airplanes to make regular commercial and non-commercial stops in each country. Rodriguez, quoted in El Caribe newspaper, says that this move would help boost tourism, because of the DR&#8217;s attraction as a tourist destination.
