The new route is part of Delta&#8217;s plan to become the second-largest US carrier to Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>The flight begins operating during the peak winter season, facilitating arrivals of Dominican expatriates and tourists from the south and southwest of the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The new flight times are: Flight 256 departs from Atlanta at 11:05am and arrives in Puerto Plata at 3:12pm; the return flight 257 leaves Puerto Plata at 4:14pm and lands in Atlanta at 8:40pm.
