The grand carnival procession in Santo Domingo starts at 3pm on Sunday, 7 March with more than 160 carnival troupes and floats parading from the Obelisk to the Banco Agricola.<\/p>\n
A Dominican Carnival photo exhibition continues until 7 March at the Parque Independencia Public Art Gallery.<\/p>\n
Carnival goes east to Punta Cana on Saturday, 20 March. More than 1,000 carnival characters from 15 provinces nationwide will parade along Boulevard 1 de noviembre in Punta Cana Village from 4pm. The event is being organized by the Puntacana Group, which operates Punta Cana International Airport and the Puntacana Resort.<\/p>\n
