Caribbean Fantasy resumes ferry service from Puerto Rico to the Dominican Republic this coming 16 March. The cruise is operated by America Cruise Ferries, a French, Mexican and Dominican company. The ferry replaces the Caribbean Ferries that provided the service until its suspension in June 2010.<\/p>\n
The new ferry has capacity to transport 1,100 passengers and a combination of 165 freight containers and 70 vehicles.<\/p>\n
This is an eight-hour trip. The Caribbean Fantasy will depart from the Pan-American terminal in San Juan every Monday at 8am. On Wednesdays and Fridays it will depart from Mayaguez at 9pm.<\/p>\n
It will arrive in Santo Domingo on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It will depart to San Juan every Thursday and on Sundays to Mayaguez.<\/p>\n
The introductory rates are US$169 for departures from Mayaguez and US$189 for departures from San Juan.<\/p>\n
