{"id":53660,"date":"2014-04-15T01:43:56","date_gmt":"2014-04-15T01:43:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dr1.com\/new\/pages\/murderer-of-american-gets-30-years-imprisonment\/"},"modified":"2014-04-15T01:43:56","modified_gmt":"2014-04-15T01:43:56","slug":"murderer-of-american-gets-30-years-imprisonment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/2014\/04\/15\/murderer-of-american-gets-30-years-imprisonment\/","title":{"rendered":"Murderer of American gets 30 years imprisonment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> Judges in the National District have handed down the maximum 30-year jail sentence to Misael Mejia Paredes who was found guilty of murdering American citizen Jay Emerson Poers aged 80 and injuring his German wife, Ana Dorothee Geb Muller. <\/p>\n<p> The court, presided over by Judge Sarah Veras, assisted by Judges Ingrid Fernandez and Gissel Soto, agreed with the evidence presented by Public Prosecutor Eduardo Joel Velasquez.<\/p>\n<p> On 23 August 2012, the accused entered the home of the deceased and attacked them with a knife and beat them.
