Lufthansa affiliate Eurowings is also launching a weekly flight to Punta Cana and two to La Romana, both from Cologne. Garcia expressed satisfaction with the upward trend in German travel to the Dominican Republic in 2014 (8.1%), which is expected to continue in 2015 with the new flights.
