The project covers the resettlement of the residents of the La Barquita neighborhood, installation of a drainage system for the Ozama River and the extension of Line 2 of the Santo Domingo Metro, as reported in Diario Libre.<\/p>\n<p> Another resolution approves a loan contract signed between the Dominican Republic and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for US$250 million for the program to Improve Productivity and Formalization in the Dominican Republic. <\/p>\n<p> The deputies passed a resolution that approved the contract for a loan signed between the Dominican Republic and the IDB for US$35 million for the San Juan de la Maguana province Production and Competitiveness Development Program. <\/p>\n<p> Yet another resolution approved two loan contracts, one signed with the OPEC Fund for International Development for US$60 million and the other with the IDB for US$78 million, both to finance the Distribution Network Modernization and Electricity Losses Reduction Program. <\/p>\n<p> In addition, they approved a loan from the Andean Development Corporation for US$50 million, to finance the Public Credit Management Processes Support Program.<\/p>\n<p> http:\/\/www.diariolibre.com\/noticias\/2015\/01\/08\/i958111_diputados-ratifican-seis-prstamos-por-us683-millones.html<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chamber of Deputies has approved loan contracts worth a total US$683 million, to be used for financing several projects.
