Seattle Mariners’ Robinson Cano was in San Pedro de Macoris yesterday, Tuesday 13 January 2015 to lead his team, the Estrellas Orientales, to a 7-2 win over the Gigantes del Cibao at their hometown’s Tetelo Vargas ballpark. Cano batted a hit to kick off his team’s first run, and then on his third opportunity at bat another double that resulted in two more runs. <\/p>\n

The Estrellas play the Aguilas Cibaenas in San Pedro de Macoris and the Toros del Cibao play the Gigantes del Cibao in San Francisco de Macoris today, both games at 7:30pm. This will match Robinson Cano (Seattle Mariners) who plays for the Estrellas and Manny Ramirez (of Boston Red Sox World Series-fame) and who plays for the Aguilas. The Estrellas and Aguilas will face each other again on Friday, 17 January. The last time Cano played here was in 2008-2009 season. <\/p>\n

The Gigantes play the Aguilas Cibaenas in Santiago and the Estrellas will match the Toros del Este in San Pedro de Macoris, both games at 7:30pm.<\/p>\n
