Office director Laura Guerrero presented the appeal request. <\/p>\n<p> The 601-page file was delivered to Supreme Court general secretary Grimilda Acosta de Subero in the afternoon. Felix Bautista is the ruling PLD party&#8217;s organizational secretary and is regarded by former President Leonel Fernandez as one of his closest aides during his three presidential terms. <\/p>\n<p> As reported in Listin Diario, the next step is for the president of the Supreme Court of Justice, Mariano German Mejia to empower the Second Penal Chamber to review the request. <\/p>\n<p> The Supreme Court ruling also benefited six of Bautista&#8217;s close associates, Soraida Abreu Martinez, Jose Elias Hernandez Garcia, Bolivar Antonio Ventura, Carlos Manuel Ozorio, Bienvenido Apolinar Breton and Grisel Aracelis Soler. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, Monday 6 April 2015, the Specialized Prosecutors Office for Administrative Corruption (Pepca) appealed the ruling issued by the Supreme Court of Justice that prevented the corruption and asset laundering accusations against rags-to-riches senator Felix Bautista from proceeding to trial.
