The Customs Agency (DGA) together with four ministries and several business entities opened on Wednesday, 25 June 2015, the first meeting of the Advisory Committee of the System of a One-Stop-Shop for Overseas Commerce (VUCE), a mechanism that would eliminate red tape to facilitate the dispatch of merchandise. During the meeting advances achieved in the implementation of the VUCE project were assessed and the work to be carried out until January 2016 was defined. A follow up working group was created at the meeting. The VUCE was created by Decree 470-14. <\/p>\n
The ministers of Industry and Commerce, Agriculture, Public Health and Environment along with the DGA represented the official sector while representatives from the private sector included members of the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD), the Dominican Association of Exporters (Adoexpo) and the American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
