As reported, Customs is awaiting the arrival of 14 new machines at the end of the month following a tender Fernandez says was carried out 10 months ago.

Airports Authority executive director Marino Collante has announced that the X-ray machines at the Cibao International Airport have been broken since last year, the same situation recently revealed to be affecting Las Americas Airport in Santo Domingo.
