Santo Domingo’s Agora Mall is celebrating a month of events in support of the environment from 2 October to 1 November. To help conserve the Hispaniola parrot, as part of the events, supporters can choose a number and contribute to a giant painting with funds going to the Grupo Jaragua’s conservation programs. Donations ranging from RD$50 to RD$400 will enable the Group to install artificial nests to encourage breeding, and help the defense and conservation of the parrot’s habitat, and support an educational campaign against keeping these endangered birds in cages. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
