The schools of architecture of the Dominican Republic have organized the Latin American Architecture Workshop (SAL XVI) that is taking place in Santo Domingo from 2-6 November 2015. <\/p>\n
The Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez (Unphu), Universidad Iberoamericana, Pontificia Universidad Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and the Universidad Central del Este are sponsoring the event. <\/p>\n
60 architects will speak at the workshop, described as “a movement of people who think in Latin America from Latin America and with eyes on Latin America.” SAL is a space for debate, discussion, questioning and reflection, where the practice of architecture loses the competitive dimension and opens to questioning. <\/p>\n
The focus this year is on the Caribbean, how it thinks, and how it sees the rest of the world and Latin America. <\/p>\n
The events have been taking place since 1985. <\/p>\n
