The project cost around US$28 million.<\/p>\n<p> The actual installations have not been enlarged but modern equipment has been installed to increase the volume of crude oil to be refined from 28,000 to up to 34,000 barrels a day. <\/p>\n<p> This means that 40% of the Dominican Republic&#8217;s fuel needs can now be processed in the refinery.
