The inaugural flight was on Tuesday, 17 November 2015. The flight commanded by Captain Uwe Leyh, 11 crew and 235 passengers was received at 11:30pm with a water salute. <\/p>\n<p>Eurowings is an affiliate of Lufthansa. La Romana Airport is only the second international long-haul destination for the airline.
