Perez Memen, a former history professor and journalist, has been the dean of the Latin America and Caribbean Ambassador’s Group for nearly four years. <\/p>\n
The dean of the diplomatic corps is the ambassador with the longest tenure of accreditation in the host state, with the exception of some countries, mostly Catholic, such as the case of the Dominican Republic, where this post is held by the Apostolic Nuncio. As dean of the diplomatic corps, Perez Memen has ceremonial and protocol functions and is the spokesman for the chiefs of missions during public and official activities and he is responsible for the defense of the immunities and privileges of the diplomatic corps as well as their spokesman before the Mexican state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
