This is a decline of US$421 million compared to 2014 when exports were US$1.42 billion. In 2015 exports were US$1.01 billion, as reported in El Dinero. <\/p>\n<p> The decline came after the Haitian government banned overland exports of 23 leading Dominican products. The products are only allowed to enter by sea. <\/p>\n<p> El Dinero states that the Dominican Republic Center for Exports and Investments (CEI-RD) has yet to release the official export-import statistics for 2015. <\/p>\n<p> Listin Diario reports that a February 2016 study carried out by CIEF Consulting identified the technical and non-tariff barriers to trade between the DR and Haiti.
