A Mark Penn\/Noticias SIN poll released yesterday, Monday 9 May 2016 found that National District Mayor Roberto Salcedo has 43% of the vote compared to the main opposition candidate, the PRM’s David Collado 42%. Noticias SIN says this makes it a technical tie because the poll’s margin of error is 6.3%. It also found that with less than a week before the election, 15% of voters are still undecided. The poll report does not give the date of the poll or the number of people polled. <\/p>\n
In Santiago, the same poll reveals that president of the Chamber of Deputies, Abel Martinez, who is running for mayor of Santiago, has a comfortable lead of 55% to 23% over former Santiago mayor Jose Enrique Sued of the PRM. <\/p>\n
For the poll 1,226 eligible voters were surveyed from 26-29 April 2016. <\/p>\n
