Garcia is still an elected deputy for the PRD, and under article 32 of the constitution he may be entitled to leave prison in order to attend today&#8217;s meeting of the Chamber of Deputies. This has renewed calls for the disgraced former consul to be stripped of his immunity, led by Attorney General Francisco Dominguez Brito.
