{"id":94370,"date":"2017-01-18T10:39:45","date_gmt":"2017-01-18T14:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dr1.com\/new\/?p=94370"},"modified":"2017-01-18T10:39:45","modified_gmt":"2017-01-18T14:39:45","slug":"payment-to-odebrecht-disappeared-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/2017\/01\/18\/payment-to-odebrecht-disappeared-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Payment to Odebrecht disappeared"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-94413\" src=\"http:\/\/dr1.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Odebrecht-Northwest-Aqueduct-300x245.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"245\" \/>The former director of the National Drinking Water Institute (INAPA) Juan Roberto Rodr\u00edguez, who was in that position during the government of Hip\u00f3lito Mej\u00eda has said that during his time in office Odebrecht built the aqueduct in the Northwest but there were no intermediaries.<\/p>\n<p>Being interviewed at the Attorney General\u2019s Office, he said that there was an international bidding process and Odebrecht won the contract.<\/p>\n<p>Rodriguez said that they were convinced that they had made the best decision, with the winner being a consortium of Andrade and Gutierrez that managed the money and Odebrecht the technical side, to build the aqueduct.<\/p>\n<p>He said the first contract for the work was signed in 1999, during the government of Leonel Fern\u00e1ndez and he followed up on it when he arrived at INAPA. He explained that the work was worth US$161 million but only 80% was paid but he had no idea what happened to the final 20%.
