The Ministry said that the Parador was violating the law that protects and regulates the sale of threatened species. The birds were taken to the National Zoo in Santo Domingo.<\/p>\n<p>The owner of Parador Francisco said he purchased the birds for RD$100,000 from a business located on Av. 27 de Febrero almost corner Av. M\u00e1ximo G\u00f3mez.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Environment said the country is a signatory of CITEs Convention that protects endangered species.
