In a visit to the National Congress, the business groups also called for the construction of the Gurabo to Montellano new road that would shorten the distance from Santiago to Puerto Plata.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from the Puerto Plata Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Tourist Companies of the North have complained about the poor state of the Navarette-Puerto Plata road.
