The event is a preparatory meet leading into the World Masters Swimming Championship set for Canada. Vicioso is a strong contender in the 100 fly, having been ranked among the top 10 in three events, including the 100 fly competition scheduled for Saturday. Vicioso is the only Dominican national team swimmer who has persevered for four decades. He owns up to three Latin American records in masters swimming.
