Danilo Vicioso, 41 years, a resident in La Romana, swimming in the
\n40-44 years group for the Dominican Republic in the United States
\nMasters Short Course Swimming Championships in Florida, a preparatory
\nevent for the world swimming masters, won bronze in the 100 back with a
\ntime of 56.62. He also placed 4th in the grueling 400 IM event clocking
\nin at 4:31.67 (best time was 4:27.22), amongst the best in the US.
\nSwimming for the North Carolina Masters Swimming team, he also won
\npoints for placing 6th in the 1,650 yard freestyle with a time of
\n17:43.49, 6th in the 100 yard butterfly clocking in at 54.93, 8th in
\n200 yard butterfly (2:06.38) and 6th in the 200 yard IM with 2:05.25.
\nSome 1,620 swimmers representing 174 teams were entered in the meet.<\/p>\n
