According to El Nacional newspaper, a source has told them that the Attorney General\u2019s Office has a created a list of individuals who could be issued arrest warrants in relation to the Odebrecht case. The warrants could be issued as soon as next week. Officials of the Brazilian company Odebrecht have admitted to having paid bribes to government officials and legislators in the country to facilitate being awarded lucrative government construction contracts.<\/p>\n
The source said that the list is nearly ready and is being reviewed by prosecutors. Once finalized, the Attorney General\u2019s office will issue the arrest warrants and begin judicial proceedings against individuals implicated in the scandal.<\/p>\n
A second source said that the Attorney General Jean Alain Rodr\u00edguez met with President Danilo Medina on the night of Monday 22 May 2017 to update him on the results of the interview he carried out with Minister of Industry and Commerce Temistocles Mont\u00e1s, and the rest of the investigative process.<\/p>\n
In total, 38 individuals have been questioned by the Attorney General\u2019s Office in connection to the case, including Mont\u00e1s who originally said he had asked for the interview and then later admitted he had been formally summoned.<\/p>\n
Others interviewed were Rub\u00e9n Jim\u00e9nez Bichara, Gonzalo Castillo, Horacio Mazara, Alejandro Mont\u00e1s, Olgo Fern\u00e1ndez, Francisco Pag\u00e1n, representing Odebrecht, Marcelo Hofke, businessman and lobbyist \u00c1ngel Rond\u00f3n, Radham\u00e9s Segura, Freddy P\u00e9rez and the former director of the water compnay Inapa Roberto Rodr\u00edguez.<\/p>\n
In addition the former director de Inapa, Mariano Germ\u00e1n, Alberto Holgu\u00edn, V\u00edctor D\u00edaz R\u00faa, C\u00e9sar S\u00e1nchez, Andr\u00e9s Bautista, Jes\u00fas V\u00e1squez, Alfredo Pacheco, Frank Rodr\u00edguez, Rafael Suero, Leonardo Guzm\u00e1n, who is the son in law of the former Public Works minister V\u00edctor D\u00edaz R\u00faa, lawyer Conrad Pittaluga and president of the Senate Reinaldo Pared P\u00e9rez, among others.<\/p>\n
