The ship will specialize in seven-day Caribbean itineraries, with select three-, four- and 10-day options in winter\/spring 2018-19. The Nieuw Statendam will have capacity for 2,666 passengers.<\/p>\n<p>Nieuw Statendam\u2019s first Caribbean cruise will be a four-day itinerary with calls at Half Moon Cay and Key West, Florida, departing 19 December 2018. The ship continues with a seven-day sailings, that include a first 23 December Christmas cruise with stops at Amber Cove, in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; and Half Moon Cay.<\/p>\n<p>A longer 10-day cruise in the Caribbean will be offered on the Nieuw Statendam that departs 20 January 2019 to the ABC Islands with calls at Half Moon Cay; Grand Turk, Turks &amp; Caicos; Amber Cove, Dominican Republic; Kralendijk, Bonaire; Willemstad, Cura\u00e7ao; and Oranjestad, Aruba.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a 17 March departure with calls at Amber Cove, San Juan, St. Thomas and Half Moon Cay.<\/p>\n<p>30 May 2017<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nieuw Statendam of Holland America Line is already accepting bookings for Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale in Florida to be launched in 2019.
