District Attorney Jose Manuel Hernandez Peguero warned yesterday that former colonel Pedro Julio (Pepe) Goico must come to DR to complete the investigations of the Quirino case, as reported in Listin Diario. Peguero said he would use all the necessary legal measures to get Goico to come back to the DR. Goico was a security assistant to former President Hipolito Mejia and will be questioned about the purchase and sale transaction of the Colibri helicopter that was owned by former captain Quirino Ernesto Paulino Castillo, who was extradited to the US to face drug trafficking and money laundering charges. Goico had requested to be questioned in Spain where he is reportedly attending a military reinforcement course. The petition was made on 3 May 2005 through his wife Antonieta Rodriguez Solano.
