A staff that all day and night actively seeks ways to indulge you. Garden pathways
lined with aromatic tropical plants. A bed so comfortable guests will feel they
are sleeping amongst clouds. A spa where you awaken from your massage
wondering whether you are in heaven. This is Casa Colonial, Playa Dorada.
One of just six Small Luxury Hotels of the World in the Caribbean, Casa
Colonial is a 50-room colonial mansion built on a quiet, secluded cove of Playa
Dorada beach, a new boutique hotel in a cluster of 15 resorts. Casa Colonial
was designed by Puerto Plata architect Sara Garcia, also responsible for the
Victoria Hotel and Gran Ventana Hotel in Playa Dorada, operated by VH Hotels
& Resorts.

At bedtime, two floor-maids will drop by your room to bring fresh towels, sweets and chocolates, and an inspirational
love message. Their sincere smiles and their manner, revealing they relish their role as accomplices to your pleasure,
makes the turn down service special.
At the lobby bar, when you order a Cointreau on the rocks, delicious Caipirinha with white Brugal rum, Angela will
coax you to test her bartending skills, telling you she can prepare Irish Coffee, Spanish Coffee, or simply the hotel’s best
cappuccino in the morning.
Casa Colonial is the smallest hotel in the Playa Dorada area. Twas perfume in a small bottle, Puerto Plata landscape
architect Juan Diego Vasquez has succeeded in designing gardens that are a symphony of fragrance and colors. The
scents come from night jasmine, frangipani flowers and Tahitian gardenia blossoms. These combine perfectly with the
hotel’s trademark white, pink and purple hued orchids.
