certification diving courses, learn to windsurf,
kayak or canoe, take a banana boat ride, go
fishing, horseback riding, 4-wheel motorcycle

La Romana town, Altos de Chavon and
shops in the Casa de Campo and Dominicus
beach areas offer excellent shopping for arts
and crafts and Dominican things.

Altos de Chavón
Following the tradition of
Frank Sinatra, who sang at the site’s inaugural
concert, some of the world’s best continue to
perform on the Chavón amphitheater stage,
including Sting who appeared in 2006. From
December to April, you might be able to
catch a Kandelá tropical music extravaganza
with more than 50 performers on the stage.
