Gems of Dominican music

The Ministry of Tourism has released “Caribbean Gems: Joyas Musicales Dominicanas,” a CD that compiles 13 tracks (83 minutes) of music composed by the legends of Dominican music. The CD was produced by Maestro Jose Antonio Molina, and features boleros, bachata, merengue of some of the better known Dominican composers of all times. The tracks are: “Tu me haces falta”, Armando Cabrera; “En la oscuridad”, Rafael Solano; “Y”, Mario De Jesus; “Evocacion”, Papa Molina; “Cana Brava”, Tono Abreu; “Amorosa”, Salvador Sturla; “Antifaz”, Manuel Troncoso; “Dilema”, Juan Lockward; Al retorno”, Bienvenido Brens; “Ella”, Luis Rivera; “Pesar”, Rafael “Bullumba” Landestoy; “Aunque me cueste la vida”, Luis Kalaf and “Papa Boco”, Manuel Sanchez Acosta. The CD is for sale at Carol pharmacies, Punto y Corcho bar, Musicalia and other music stores, hotel gift shops, and at the Las Americas and Puerto Plata international airports. Sales price is under RD$800.
