President Fernandez attends Casa de Campo inaugural

President Leonel Fernandez attended the inauguration of the remodeled installations at Casa de Campo on Monday, 28 December. President Fernandez cut the symbolic ribbon and toured the new area with the executives. Attending were leading Central Romana executives Alfy Fanjul, Jose Fanjul, Eduardo Martinez Lima and Ramon Menendez, as well as Tourism Minister Francisco Javier Garcia and Foreign Relations Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso. Casa de Campo inaugurated 78 newly remodeled rooms, including 3 suites, expansion of its public areas, construction of La Cana Restaurant & Lounge by Le Cirque, under the supervision of the Maccioni family, owners of Le Cirque in New York. The President also toured the newly remodeled gym, spa, shopping area, lobby and refurbished rooms at a cost of US$30 million. The remodeling was overseen by architect Rafael Selman and decorator Mayra Gonzalez.
