Minister of Tourism Francisco Javier Garcia visited Punta Cana this week for the formal opening of the Iberostate Golf Villas & Condos, a major residential and golf development in northern Punta Cana. The residences surround the new Iberostate Golf Course in Arena Gorda, Bavaro. Angel Cordero, director of the residential division of the Spanish tourism company, stressed that the development investors can make the most of the beach, entertainment and sports attractions of the Iberostar resorts, while enjoying the comforts of home in the tropics. The 18-hole 72-par golf course was designed by PB Dye. In its first phase the Iberostate Golf Villas & Condos has 30 three and four-room villas, and 64 one, two and three-room apartments.
