Gol scheduled to land at SDQ on 15 December

Gol, the 11-year old low-cost Brazilian carrier, has announced the start of daily flights to Santo Domingo’s Las Americas International Airport from the cities of Rio de Janeiro (Galeao), Sao Paulo (Guarulhos) with the first flights starting 15 December. Airline spokesman Mauricio Emboaba Moreira told the press that the flights are part of the company’s campaign to expand its presence in the region. Minister of Tourism Francisco Javier Garcia stressed during the announcement that the Dominican government is fully backing the effort to bring more Brazilian tourists to Dominican shores. Dominican all-inclusive resorts are especially popular with the Brazilian families.
