The Dominican Republic women’s national volleyball team defeated Venezuela (25-16, 25-11, 25-16), Mexico (25-17, 25-15, 25-19) and Colombia (25, 13, 17-25, 25-18, 25-18) in its three first games during the Pan American Volleyball Championship taking place in Santo Domingo from 30 June to 11 July 2016. The tournament is being held at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center Volleyball Pavilion and at the court of the San Carlos Club.
The DR has yet to play Canada and Puerto Rico.
The championship teams are divided in two groups. The Group A teams are Canada, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela and Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. Group B teams are Argentina, Cuba, the United States, Costa Rica, Trinidad & Tobago and Peru.
Tickets are on sale online at Uepa Tickets and at Jumbo and El Nacional supermarkets. The admission price at the Olympic Pavilion is RD$330. Admission for all the games at Club San Carlos will be RD$130.
