Hiandra Martinez stars in fashion industry

21-year old Dominican model from Nizao, Hiandra Martinez was voted “one of the industry’s most promising newcomers” for 2017. The 21 year old from Nizao, in Peravia province, is regarded by Vogue as one of the top 16 models in the world.

In a recent Vogue online poll, Martínez received 83% of the vote in the category of “new faces to watch.” Martínez, who began modeling for Ossygeno Models in the Dominican Republic in 2012, is a favorite of Saint Laurent designer Anthony Vaccarello for whom she opened the YSL Fall 2017 show in Paris.

She has also modeled for top fashion houses Chanel and Valentino. In 2017 in addition to Chanel, Valentino and YSL, she was hired to be in runway shows for Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, Coach, Stella McCartney, Ferragamo, Paco Rabanne, Max Mara, FentyXPuma, Helmut Lang, Tory Burch, Anna Sui, Michael Kors, Burberry, JW Anderson and Mary Katrantzou.

Recently, Vogue Mexico feature on her said that the Dominican Republic is rapidly becoming the “birth place of top models.”
