Senate removes inheritance taxes heirs would have to pay to receive pension funds

The Senate passed the two readings to eliminate the payment of inheritance taxes when a person inherits the pension funds left by a deceased affiliate. The decision will simplify the procedures and speed up the processes in favor of the relatives of deceased AFP pension holders. There is a bottleneck affecting 75,000 families that have not been able to have access to the funds.

The bill now needs to move to the Chamber of Deputies for approval.
