Dominican named US Ambassador to Spain

US President Joe Biden chose Dominican-American Julissa Reynoso Pantaleón to be the US ambassador in Spain. A lawyer and diplomat, Reynoso had been appointed chief of staff of the First Lady Jill Biden. She had also served as assistant to President Biden. During the Obama administration, she served as US ambassador to Uruguay.

The 46-year old lawyer-diplomat was born in the Dominican Republic and migrated to the United States in 1982.
