Chris Duarte to play in NBA league

The Indiana Pacers choose Chris Duarte, a native of Puerto Plata, to play in the next season of the National Basketball Association. Duarte was chosen in the fist round of the NBA Draft 2021 with the 13th pick. He will join Al Horford of the Boston Celtics and Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Duarte played with the University of Oregon, where he won the Jerry West award. The Associated Press chose him as the best player in the Pac-12 Conference, including the best defensive quintet.
