A thrilling amusement park ride, a mix of cascading, plummeting
excitement that last much longer than the usual three minutes of
the mechanical games. The lineups are short, although seeing all 28
waterfalls can take at least half a day or more, depending on the size
of your group. You will not want to be rushed, either, as Damajagua
Falls will be one of the most memorable of your adventures while in
the Dominican Republic.
The falls are located half an hour south of Puerto Plata city, between the
Altamira tunnel and the town of Imbert. If heading south from Puerto

will know you have gone too far.
The popularity of this expedition has led to the development of the
Association of Damajagua Guides. These specialized guides can be
hired as they wait in order for clients beside a row of houses that fronts
the highway right before Llano de Perez, a sugarcane field town. Their
professional guide services can be had for a RD$150 to RD$300 per
