Painting represents merely a moment of landscaping. His works of art on canvass live on for years, bringing peace to
those privileged to have one in their homes.
Landscaping, on the other hand, is a painting in constant evolution. On innumerous occasions, he will return to refresh
the gardens he has designed in the luxurious homes in La Romana, Santo Domingo and Curacao. He explains that
the difference between landscaping and painting is precisely in that landscaping requires those constant retouches.
“Nothing is permanent. If you are not aware that everything changes, then there is no enjoyment.”.
He makes Neruda’s words his own and confesses that he has indeed lived. “To do things that bring pleasure and to
help people, to give and to learn,” is the attitude from which he derives his motivation. “To accept death and the hap-
piness of being alive.”
