My mudanza has prices for fridges - new or used
Never has price entered into it

I shipped 'scratch & dent'... it went as used but was actually beaten up 'new'

We're buying a new gas stove for Mom CB at a Lowes store in Tampa---many Big Box stores have excellent holiday deals that expire today---and the Lowes store involved called me and said they have six stainless steel stoves, somewhat similar to the one we bought, at an unheard of clearance price of $150. The list price is $999.99.

Alida's cousin does weekly container shipments from Tampa to the DR and will do a store pick up and deliver to your door in the DR for $300-325.

Here is the stove involves: Samsung 5.8 cu. ft. 5-Burner Gas Range, Model #NX58F5500SS

It's not the most fantastic appliance, but for the total price it's hard to beat, and certainly vastly superior to anything in the same price range available in the DR. It comes with an LPG conversion kit.

The store phone number is 813-249-6001. PM me for the phone of the Tampa mudanza if you're interested.

No dog in this hunt, just a PSA.

IMPORTANT!!!!!! Make sure you have the conversion kit for propane with the stove. It is most likely set up for natural gas.

Correct, they are sold with conversion kits, whether that kit arrives with the appliance after customs inspection is the potential issue.

Were these "open box" items, hence the steep discount? I would rather have an open box stove, than an open box television set.

We expected the stove this week, and when it hadn't arrived made follow-up calls.

What we were told could impact many more clients than just us and out one stove. Seems Aduanas is at it again.

Our shipper, a relative whose mudanza business has a great 20+ year reputation, says that Aduanas now limits a 40' container to only have 8 electrodomesticos, and are now forbidding used units.

Our stove was in a container with 22 electrodomesticos. Aduanas released only 8 of the electrodomesticos, the balance remain at Aduanas. Ours lost the "release lottery" and the shipper sent a video of it sitting in a warehouse.

Seems all shippers are upset. It may take a week or so for the negotiations to complete and dust to settle.

Another issue is food: aduanas is now only allowing a small bag of rice and one bottle of oil stuffed in electrodomesticos.

Stay tuned.

I had a chat with the daughter of the owners. Very nice. I did not do the stove but will try them out soon with some heavy fitness equipment.

They do cars too and I understand that in the case of a car the aduana fee is on top which is understandable.

What I forgot to ask her and not understand is: In the price they charge, is there customs fee included or would I have to pay this on top of what the shipper charges?

Oh boy, now I’m worried about our shipment, 18 boxes and drums, 15of them filled with the baseball equipment.  I guess time will tell.

99% of the time, all custom fees are included (except for vehicles)

We were told the crackdown was limited to electrodomesticos and food stuffed inside.

So far, anyway.  With our shipment, we sent rice, bread flour and oil, but outside the boxes.  No biggie if they confiscate, it’s the sports equipment I’m worried about.

By electrodomesticos I presume we’re talking about large appliances like stoves, refrigerators, washers, etc., not things like breadmakers, mixers, microwaves, etc.
