Anybody had any experience with this hotel in Boca Chica? Also still trying to find a contact # for a day-tour desk in that area...want to book some day tours before I get there. especially the one where you rappell 100ft down into a cave and exit by swimming under water...........

I spent a week in the south a couple of years back. Juan Dolio I think, and took the most awesome daytrip, starting with a long minibus ride to an isolated farm. Short horseback ride, followed by an uphill forest hike, then rappel down into a pitch black cave, walk over 1.5 km through the cave...

We're flying (August) into Santo Domingo and out of Puerto Plata...and intending to rent a jeep and drive from the south to the north, with a 2 night stay in Jarabacoa. Any thoughts on the viability of this idea? It seems such a bummer to sit in a bus, 3 hrs each way, to go and try the rafting...

Visiting end August. PP area. Both my wife and I are fitness fanatics and looking for some REAL white knuckle, "rush" type activities. Any suggestions that would suit folks like us, rather than the typical 300lb, sunburnt tourist? Love the site. Good job guys. Joe.
