its a buying and selling business , like a clearance place for old stock usually small electrical items (unless someone wants to correct me - which they probably will)


like Del-Boy Trotter but with a shop

Basically it is a pawn shop. You pay excrutiatingly high interest on the appliances. jewlery or what ever it is...and most people just leave it there because they cant pay the interest and the capital...

NO, it is not considered to be an honorable or particularyly healthy business....you have to be very street wise, very much a shylock, and hard as rocks...

True, but you can find some bargains there if you are shopping and not borrowing.

Antonio's Compra Venta in Puerta Plata is maybe the best place to buy gold jewelry in the area. Honest place and excellent prices. They sell by weight.
